Senior Member cardel25 Posted May 20, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted May 20, 2011 Hi. As you can see from my signature i use both propecia, minoxidil, nizoral and Revita shampoo. Im wondering if using the revita shampoo is doing me any good when i already use all those other products ? Ive just seen it beeing proposed on hairlosstalk. I want to add a conditioner when i grow my hair longer after HT. I have thought about using Revitas conditioner as i am really satisfied with the way Revita shampoo makes my hair look like. But is it too much ? 1 mg Finasterid M-W-F. 2,500 mcg Biotin. 1 mg 5 % Minoxidil once a day. Multi-vitamin. Fish oil. Head and Shoulders every day. Nizoral 2 % one time a week. Emu oil. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/cardel25/blog/403/
Senior Member mattj Posted May 20, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted May 20, 2011 Of the treatments you're using, the Revita shampoo is almost certainly the least beneficial and the one to ditch if you have to cut down. Is it the cost that's an issue? If you feel that the Revita shampoo has a unique and worthwhile effect, and you can afford to continue using it, then there's no reason why it would be too much. You should look around at some of the long lists of treatments some other guys use. I am a patient and representative of Dr Rahal. I think that it makes my hair look nicer but i cant measure if it helps preventing hair loss. I can definately pay for it so if it doenst harm i might as well keep using it. 1 mg Finasterid M-W-F. 2,500 mcg Biotin. 1 mg 5 % Minoxidil once a day. Multi-vitamin. Fish oil. Senior Member Blake Bloxham Posted May 21, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted May 21, 2011 Cardel, The combination of finasteride, minoxidil, and ketoconazole shampoos (like Nizoral) is usually referred to as the "big three," and is probably the most effective non-surgical hair loss solution you can utilize at the moment. I highly recommend sticking with these three. Good luck! I know that extencive use of one of them can cause shedding. 1 mg Finasterid M-W-F. 2,500 mcg Biotin. 1 mg 5 % Minoxidil once a day. Multi-vitamin. Fish oil. Head and Shoulders every day. Senior Member cardel25 Posted May 21, 2011 Author Senior Member Share Posted May 21, 2011 Im wondering if Revivogen is a better supply to Finasterid, Minoxidil and Nizoral than Revita. Revita has the same DHT blocking ingredient as Nizoral Whereas Revivogen has Saw Palmetto as the DHT blocking ingredient. 1 mg Finasterid M-W-F. 2,500 mcg Biotin. 1 mg 5 % Minoxidil once a day.
