Regular Member hairsprint Posted May 18, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted May 18, 2011 Hello... I had my HT roughly 4.5 months back and had started on Finasteride after a couple of months post the procedure. Effectively, now, I have been on it since around 2.5 months. Right now, from what I see, I am going through the shedding phase (am assuming its the shed as it has started since 2 weeks and the timing agrees with the Finasteride shedding phase from what I have read) Is it safe to start Biotin for good hair growth in parallel to Finasteride at this point? I am on a 1 mg dosage of Finasteride now and I take it every day after dinner, what is the best/most used dosage of Biotin and when do I take it? Thanks for your comments... Senior Member RCWest Posted May 19, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted May 19, 2011 I take Biotin with Finasteride. I take the 5000 mcg. from Walmart. Since it's a water soluble vitamin, your will just pee out any your body doesn't need. Finasteride 1.25 mg. daily Avodart 0.5 mg. daily Spironolactone 50 mg twice daily 5 mg. oral Minoxidil twice daily Biotin 1000 mcg daily Multi Vitamin daily Damn, with all the stuff you put in your hair are you like a negative NW1? Regular Member hairsprint Posted May 20, 2011 Author Regular Member Share Posted May 20, 2011 i take biotin with finasteride Your signature says you take lots of stuff! It really should end up in a negative NW1:D Your 'Before' and 'After' pictures should be really worth a watch. Just curious, have you shared your pics somewhere? Anyway, thanks for the response. I did some research too and I found its safe to use Biotin. I am planning to add it to my regimen from tomorrow. Wish me lots of growth and healthy hair
