slaphead
On most of the photos following the journey of HTs the redness of people's scalps seems to continue for a long time, in many cases you can see it faintly a year later. Does this last forever, is it faint scarring? Someone mentioned that parts of their scalp go red in the sun after HT.... Any thoughts?
Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted February 4, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted February 4, 2011 slaphead, While my own redness seemed to last longer than that of many other patients, it eventually disappeared altogether. I have heard of one or two patients claiming prolonged or permanent discoloration but it seems to be very rare. I really comes down to the skin tone and healing characteristics of the individual. Senior Member RCWest Posted February 4, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted February 4, 2011 I have a couple of very small spots that are still pink. I think it was the surgery back then (mini/micros) that was the main culprit. I've often wondered if tanning would help blend in red spots, or make them less noticeable?
