Senior Member moses0324 Posted January 25, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted January 25, 2011 I experience a tingling sensation in the receding area every now and then...it always bothers me that its the dht killing another hair follicle. anyone else experience this? note i am on finasteride and have had excellent results. only have been on the drug for a year. Senior Member mattj Posted January 25, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted January 25, 2011 This is something that I've heard reported and which I've experienced myself. I notice the sensation if I miss my Finasteride dose for a number of days in a row. If you've had excellent results on the drug and only a year has passed then it's likely that you'll continue to do well. What dose are you taking? I am a patient and representative of Dr Rahal. Dr. Glenn Charles
I doubt what you are feeling is DHT attacking existing hair follicles. I know anything is possible, but since the tingling sensation is intermittant that does not make sense. Maybe think positve that it is the Finasteride fighting with the 5 alpha reductase enzyme preventing DHT from binding to healthy hair follicle receptors.
