nordstrom
Hi, I usually don't scar pretty well. generally, my scars become dark as time goes by, and I'm worried that it would happen to my strip scar. how do i prevent that from happening? any suggestions? creams? Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted January 4, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted January 4, 2011 nordstrom, Many patients seem to like Mederma for reducing the appearance of scars. However, in my opinion, if your body tends to create dark scars, you are unlikely to see huge benefits from any type of scar treatments. I suggest discussing this concern with your hair restoration physician. Depending on factors such as hair texture, scalp color, etc., your scar should still be concealable if your hair is not too short. Regular Member Dr. William Lindsey Posted January 5, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted January 5, 2011 Mederma generally won't do anything for hyperpigmentation. Call and visit your doctor asap.
