racerx
Hey guys, it's been about 3 weeks since I have had my procedure done where hair was planted at the front of my head to cover up my receding hairline's bald spots. Anyway, about 2 days ago.. whenever I shampoo my hair, I noticed that maybe one or two of the transplanted hairs would fall out and I would see them in my hand after washing. I try to be gentle still on the area even the the doctor as well as other documentations said I could wash as normal. Should I be worried or is that just part of the regular shedding process? Thanks! Senior Member Thehairupthere Posted December 4, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted December 4, 2010 It is normal to see the transplanted hairs fall out around this time. They usually fall out 8 days after surgery to about 3 weeks after, so do not worry. Most or all of them should be falling out soon and they will reappear in about 3-4 months when the normal growth cycle begins. I am a consultant for Dr. True and Dr. Dorin. These opinions are my own. Dr. Glenn Charles
The majority of the transplanted hairs should occur within the first 4 weeks after the procedure. What you experiencing is within the normal range.
