Regular Member HighTopFade Posted November 30, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted November 30, 2010 (edited) Is using the generic version of Rogaine fine? It's the Wal-Mart version. How often are the side effects and does anyone have any nasty, gritty stories to share with your bad experience of rogaine? JoeKid0000
If you're not experiencing any side effects by now you should be all right. The Wal-Mart generic should be fine; the ingredients should be more or less the same as in Rogaine (you can compare them side-to-side).
Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted December 8, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted December 8, 2010 Generic minoxidil works just as well as Rogaine. I've been using generic for the past couple of years. Be sure that you are buying you non-surgical hair loss treatments from a reputable source and you'll be fine. This is where I buy it (promotional link removed by moderator.) Edited July 6, 2014 by David - TakingThePlunge
