Senior Member multiplier Posted November 14, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted November 14, 2010 I've been using Toppik for about 9 years and it has been a lifesaver. One thing I've done this year that I wished I'd thought of earlier - when I'm in the shower to wash my hair, I face the shower head but tilt my head down to look at the floor. Then I just use my fingertips to massage shampoo lightly in the top of my head. I also rinse with my head tilted down. What I've discovered is that very little Toppik gets dislodged. So when I'm out of the shower, most of it is still in my hair and I only need a tiny amount. It has greatly extended the life of each Toppik bottle. Regular Member zo1279 Posted April 23, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted April 23, 2011 it is funny because I was reading this and was like this is totally what i do! But I don't think it is healthy for the toppik to constantly be on your scalp...so I have to massage it off by usually picking at the toppik to get it off my head (sounds worse than it really is). Regular Member hairsprint Posted April 24, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted April 24, 2011 There was an instance where I had run out of shampoo and I had to just wash my hair with just water. Interestingly, but for some small quantity which went away with the hair wash, post the shower, my hair still looked as if it had the concealer on it, also, it looked very natural. I guess it takes a decent amount of shampoo to completely wash the concealer away. I am not sure if leaving some traces of Toppik for days together is a good idea though....
