Arasp
Hi guys, This is my first post in the topic. I am going to have my second HT surgery soon. However, I have some questions before that. I just uploaded all the pictures in a website: (link removed due to fishy content on main page - please upload your photos by creating a photo album, blog with pictures or by uploading them to this discussion topic) • I did a strip (FUT) hair transplant surgery 1.5 years ago. (I have included the before and after pictures) • Please check my current situation and offer me the best way. I want to go under another surgery but I don’t know if I get the best result or not. Because the my main problem is at the top of my head. In my scalp where I want to do another strip FUT hair transplant surgery there are a lot of hair right now. But unfortunately these hair do not grow anymore, They are very thin but they exist there, anyway. I have kept this situation for years by taking Propecia and Rogaine. I think I will lose them if I stop taking these two. • This is my question : what is the best way of using another strip FUT surgery? Should I just add more density to the front hair or the density is ok now? • The second question: is it possible to shave completely the top of my head and transfer the new hair on that place (as if there is was no hair at all) then what will happen when my original hair will start to grow from the same position where the new hairs are grafted? In other word, should you just search for bald spaces to transfer the new hair folicules. ? Or is it possible to ignore the original thin hair and put the transferred hairs exactly in the same position where the original hairs are located? What will happen in future? • In one of the pictures I have tried to show you the amount of growth of my current hairs. They grow that much and they do not grow anymore. What is the solution? Thank you, Edited September 25, 2010 by Arasp
Arasp
Quick Question: I read lots of article in your website and I think they will shave the top of my head for best result. But I have hair all over my scalp but they are thin and do not grow long. Dr. Glenn Charles
Did not see the photos posted so cannot comment on that. Even if the doctor shaves the area where the transplant is taking place they should be using magnification so seeing and avoiding existing hairs is much easier. Senior Member aWidowsPeek Posted September 30, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted September 30, 2010 Honestly if your donor is good you should get some grafts in the hairline and crown. That hairline is pluggy and you can see a lot of 2 hair grafts right in front. Don't go back to the same doctor. I think if you go to a great doc and squeeze out 4000+ grafts you'll look great

I think the maximum grafts I can get in my second HT will not be more than 2500 grafts. So what am I gonna do? should I leave crown area for my third HT?
