According to an exciting new study published in Nature magazine, scientists believe they have discovered a new hair loss gene. While studying a rare disease that causes atypical hair loss and follicle miniaturization, researchers discovered a common mutation in a gene they believe is responsible for human hair development and growth. This new discovery could play an important role in future research and non-surgical hair restoration.
