Regular Member monkey Posted June 12, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted June 12, 2010 Just a quickie. When hair that was shocklost grows back, does it come in thin and wirely like how the newly grown transplanted hair does - or does it grow as the normal soft hair? I'm three months out now and feeling quite a bit of stubble - just don't know if it's my shockloss hair returning (I had it bad) or the new grafts? Or do they just feel the same? Senior Member Cam Simmons MD ABHRS Posted June 14, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted June 14, 2010 (edited) Monkey You are feeling both. Most of the transplanted hairs and some of the existing hair are shed because of the "shock" of the transplant. They grow back the same way. They will start off fine and tapered and will get wider as they get longer. Eventually your hair stylist will cut off the tapered tops. Happy growth!
