max350
Hey guys have a quick question. How did you guys dry your hair after bathing? I just had HT 2 days ago. Its time to use the Graftcyte shampoo, but I'm not sure what to do as to drying my hair... I guess air dry?

Senior Member uncjim Posted October 12, 2003 Senior Member Share Posted October 12, 2003 I towel dried due to the fact that I had staples in the donor area. Blow drying could cause them to heat up. Senior Member Teddw2ds Posted October 12, 2003 Senior Member Share Posted October 12, 2003 I lightly towel dried my hair, and then just let it air dry from there. No blow dryer for at least 5 days.
mj
You can towel dry it, or even use a sterile gauze pad..that actually works well too. Good luck on your healing!!!!!!!
Regular Member SouthCarolina Posted October 12, 2003 Regular Member Share Posted October 12, 2003 I would towel dry the transplanted are by very gently dabbing. I would dry the rest of my hair with a blow dryer on cool and on low force. Since my hair was a little long I would use the style brush as I dries. Letting it dry by inself since it was longer dodn't look good. If the top of my head was not dry enough I would use the bow dryer (on cool and low force) at arms length and kind of wave if back and forth to create a sort of mild "breeze". No direct heat or blowing.
