First things first.

 

5 months is unacceptable to make an assumption.

It is unfair to the doc to make an assessment when the final result is close to 9 months away. You really cannot tell where the HT was done at 5 months in addition to shockloss. This does not mean that the patient is wrong but again, making an estimation at 5 months is unfair and inaccurate

Just so we are fair and not crossing information on this thread:

 

MPD had his surgery with Dr. Bernstein and is over 16 months and was the originator of this thread.

 

Erldette is referring to a patient who is only at 5.5 months post op.

 

I agree that the patient at 5.5 months post op is extremely early and should not reach a conclusion about his HT until 12 months.

 

I do hope that MPD will share some before pictures with us so we can get a grasp of what might be going on.
