Regular Member Brian in KC Posted January 9, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted January 9, 2009 Hi guys. I am only 30 days out but I still have a slight skin tone discrepency on my scalp where the reciepient area is and the rest of my forehead. Wondered about tanning to lessen the appearance of this issue. Also wondering about tanning in general. Would it help or make it worse. Also thought it might make the little hangers on less noticable on my forehead.

Bill - Seemiller
Brian, Some have suggested getting a light tan on your scalp before a hair transplant. But don't tan the recipient area until several months after the procedure. The healing phase is always the worst. The way I got through it was by wearing a hat a lot :-).
