Senior Member justgrow Posted October 5, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted October 5, 2007 I went on Hasson and Wongs website and took a look at there videos of closure techniques. I was impressed to say the least. I really could not see a scar. Who else does this type of closure method? Bill were they able to do this type of closure for you? Bill - Seemiller
justgrow, Hasson and Wong and many other elite physicians use the trichophytic closure technique where one side of the wound overlaps the other in order for hair follicles to grow through it in order to help camoflauge the scar. I did have the trichophytic scar performed on me but only for my third surgery. Though I think my scar turned out pretty well, I wouldn't compare it to those who received a tricho scar with a "virgin" scalp. Either way, my scar is camoflauged pretty well and I'm ecstatic with my results. Bill
