I have one problem, i have finasteride 5mg tablets-do i take one daily? or split them into 5ths, 4ths? In the past (a year ago) i took 1 a day (5mg) for 3 weeks, is this dangerous, had no real sides, as stopped when felt bit odd on them? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Regular Member kman Posted October 16, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted October 16, 2008 Proscar comes in 5mg tablets and that dosage is usually presribed for patients with prostate problems. I would buy a pill splitter and cut the 5mg tablet into 4 equal pieces so you dosage will be roughly 1.25 mg. You can take this daily or you could try it every other day or Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
