Hello Everyone,

I am new to this site, and I thought a section regarding physician pricing would be helpful. Pricing from the recommended docs on this site, and even those that are not listed here, where ht patients had a great experience and results. I understand that price isn't the only factor in which doc to consider for an ht, but it sure is an important factor for those that have a limited budget. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks

Your correct, one should not look at price in deciding a surgeon but should consider it secondary concern.

Prices vary by doctor and patient, strip is cheaper than FUE, some docs give discounts for FU's over a certain number, other give discounts if you spend money to fly in out of state, some reimburse your airfare and hotel charges-- it really varies.

On the average, the Top docs in the industry for strip, charge $3.50- $4.50 per FU. For mega session-- over 2500 the price per FU might get around $3 a graft-- Plus all the good ones give a few hundred extra during the surgery-- say you pay for 2,000 more than likely you end up with 2300 as an example.

Hope this gives you an idea of prices.

First, narrow your doctors to about 5 then call get consult and price for your needs, then make a decision.

Best of luck.

apm,

My suggestion is that since your located near Arizona, you check into Dr. Keene located in Tucson. She did my procedure 6 weeks ago, her pricing and professionalish simply can't by matched. Best of luck in your research-Bonzo

I agree with Smoothy on every count including his price range. Quality is the most important factor. But pricing is also important in accessing the overall value a clinic offers.

As they say - "the bitter taste of poor quality lasts long after the sweet taste of a good price is gone." No where is this truer than when it comes to hair transplants.

I've also noticed that some of the very best surgeons also often offer very reasonable prices. This makes sense when one realizes that these surgeons are patient oriented and are not only sensitive to providing great results but also affordable pricing.

I have also noticed that the commercial clinics will often drop their price to match these more modest prices - once the patient is aware of them. But then again, who would care about these lowered pricing once they realize the quality difference between the very best private clinics and the commercial chains.

Never Forget - It's what radiates from within, not from your skin, that really matters!
