Senior Member hatrick Posted May 5, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted May 5, 2008 I read on Rahal's website that they recommend massaging your donor area regularly in the weeks leading up to your surgery. It doesn't say what exactly to do, just wondering if anyone who's a Rahal patient has any knowledge of this. Senior Member Hairfree Posted May 5, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted May 5, 2008 Massaging the donor area is reccomended by all HT doctors performing strip. It helps you improve the laxity of the scalp for the strip surgery. I rubbed my thumbs on the scalp in an up and down motion about 30 minutes each day. You push down on the scalp to the point where you are able to move the skin up and down against the skull bone. I hope it makes sense. HAIRFREE DR. Senior Member Eman Posted May 6, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted May 6, 2008 Hatrick, Jotronic (Joe) of H&W put together a great video on their website which shows clearly how to do the scalp massages. Take a look on their site and while there, look at their results gallery if you have not already. My initial HT thread: done and done!! Check it out...
