Kees
Just wondering if anyone has heard anything, good or bad, about Dr. Greg Chernoff in the Indianapolis area. The word is that he is one of the few board certified plastic surgeons who does HTs in that area. Kees

Senior Member arfy Posted October 29, 2003 Senior Member Share Posted October 29, 2003 I recommend that you limit your search to doctors and clinics who only use microscopes to dissect Follicular Unit grafts... no "Minigrafts". Microscopes have superior visualization, and the clinics that do not use them may be throwing out a percentage of your precious donor hair as "waste". Microscopes can reportedly increase graft yield from the donor strip by an estimated 20 to 30 percent. Since there is a limited amount of donor hair available, it is really important not to waste any. Read this article Best_hair_transplant_procedure to get an overview of why Minigrafts are inferior. If Dr.Chernoff does not use only "FU" grafts I strongly recommend you look elsewhere, no matter how impressive his credentials seem.
Kees
Arfy: Thanks for the advice: I'll ask that question (and others) right off the bat. Kees
