Guys

With all due respect, this is a very basic question that could easily be answered with a little bit of reading. Ninedonealready, your doctor should have discussed this with you already, I can't see any reason why you would not already know the answer to this. Yes, it is normal.

Guys, there is a wealth of information on this website, and on the internet in general, if you will just make a little more effort. Also, your doctor should make sure you know the basics before you go into surgery.

Please, do yourselves a favor and read up. Not trying to bust your chops, but this is a very basic question that has been answered many times already.

the transplanted hair as your eye sees it, will almost always fall out. the hair folicle is in a dorment period of about 3 months or so, a new hair will then grow out of that folicle. There is nothing to worry about, it is all very normal. take your propecia, splash on your minoxidil and your good to go!!!

this is what we do!!

big it up

Panos

The hair shaft falling out is normal. Your actual hair itself is not alive. It's the "bulb" beneath the surface which you need to be concerned about, and that is what is actually being transplanted.

If a graft comes out and you have some bleeding, or the graft looks like the size of a grain of rice, you may have trouble. However if it is just a "flake" of dead skin and a tiny hair shaft, that should be normal.
