  1. tweezing is pretty easy, and eventually the hair won't come back
  2. I have one of those smiley face donor scars that goes from ear to ear. It averages about 1/2 width and the length is about 8 inches all together. I have dark straight hair with a medium complextion. I was wonder how many grafts you think it would take to fill in this scar? Also, how many sessions would it entail. Thanks, once again

  4. Surgeons are offering scar revisions free, or for a nominal fee. That's great. I would assume any grafts transplanted as a result of the revision would be charged at the normal rate. In regards to tissue expansion, besides the incovenience of having balloon in the back of your head, being more expensive for the patient (obviously, this procedure would not fall into the realm of free scar revision), is there any situation where a straight scar revision would be more beneficial over tissue expansion?
  5. Dr. Limmer, question regarding bad donor scars... Can all donor scars be helped by scar revision? Or are some too low or on a scalp that is too tight to be improved? What about tissue expansion on donor scars? Is this effective?

  7. Are these the same thing? I've read in the research that is going on, that they are injecting cells from healthy follicles into the subject's scalp. Is this cell therapy and not cloning? Is cloning where a hair is cloned and inplanted in a way similar to hair transplants?

  9. I think he is now working with Physicians Hair Transplant Center in Chicago and maintaining his own of practices in other cities. That Dick Malvin and the other guy they have as consultants at PHTC as conmen and themselves have terrible hair transplants. Malvin hair looks like a joke. I had 6 transplant procedures done by him and all I got was a huge donor scar and less hair than when I started. He's a totally conman and the marriage of him and PHTC seems approriate, given their poor reputation also. I have met with EVERY hair transplant doctor in the Chicagoland area. Based on my research, reputation and gut feeling, I would rank the top doctors in the following order: 1. Konior 2. Gencheff (Madison Hair Transplant) 3. Wentland 4. Pomerantz (had 1 procedure by him) O'hare at Bosley, has only been doing transplant for a couple years. The guy at MHR who took Ziering place when he moved, also has only been doing transplant a couple years. Same thing for Ivenson of Elliott & True. I didn't meet with a doctor at the Pai Group, but after seeing there offices and meeting with their consultant, they seem very sleazy and I would never consider them.
  10. I have had many procedures and have a very large donor scar. This scar was used six times for transplants. It was last cut into about 14 months ago, but is still red. I realize the scar size won't improve on its own, but will the redness go away?

  12. About 10 days after a transplant, it seems that the grafts crusts start coming off. Often there is hair with the crust. Is this okay? How does one know if a graft has come out?

  14. I have always wondered about having a second transplant procedure done with five months of the first procedure. If not all of the grafts from the first procedure have grown back (not to mention temporary shock loss of native hair), how does a doctor avoid creating a site where dormant hair lies. One doctor told me he can tell through magnification, but I wonder if he wasn't just blowing smoke to get me back in for another procedure?
