side effects of DHT reducing tablets such as Propecia, Nourkrin man..etc.

Hi all im a new member on this site and have been using nourkrin man tablets (one a day) (totally drug free and contains fenugreek to reduce DHT) for two years).

its similar to propecia and i have been worried about the side effects since using. i know this may cary from individual to individual..but in my case over the last two years.. i have noticed that my sex appetite is not what it was...(could be due to job chagne ..long hours..) i dont neccesraily have man boobs....but my chest is certainly more flabby than it ever was.....

its not noticible but if i dont work out ( bench press ups in the gym)...then the flab can be construed as small man boobs...very slight...)

this may be due to the extra flab and fat i have in all parts...of my body...as im not active as i was...but i think the correlation bw taking nourkrin man and the flab is too close to dismiss it...

i have now stoped taking the tablets...iv been told i have nothing to worry about as nourkrin man is totally drug free and the FENUGREEK it contains comes from a natural plant substance....

..but nevertheless..it does concern me.

if these are indeed side effects than do they correct themselves once you stop taking these tablets..ie...will my so called man boobs disappera after a few months..or will i be a sex machine again...

or am i just being paranoid...

(if you guys dont know about nourkrin than what would be the advise regarding these symptoms if the tablet was propecia...(more stronger)

hope some one can answer..thanks..

Hi hairman

Nourkin is only a vitamin suppliment and has no scientific evidence as to blocking DHT .

Because it is only vitamins your body will naturally dispose of any exess or unneeded ones through your urine .

Your man boobs or moobs as we call them in the UK will reduce with exercise ,this will also help with your sex drive .being healthy counts for a lot .

Some peole have suffered minor sides with the use of finasteride in tablet form ,however these sides , usually return to normal after a few days .

I would say stop wasting your money on expensive 'vitamins' and start on proscar or propicea to halt your hairloss situation , as these are the only scientifically proven meds to block DHT and halt the effects of male pattern baldness .

hope that helps

hey thanks man....

iv stoped taking Nourkrin cos to be honest it doesnt seem to be making any diffirence....well perhaps shiner hair...but not really that thinker...

i use regain regularly...and it was brilliant at first however after two years...i think that too has run its course.

im not going to take any more tablets or anything like that...iv decided next year to have a HT...no matter what...its gonna be expensive here in the UK but alas its got to be done....

i suppose my next few threads over tye coming weeks are gonna be on WHO, WHERE, HOW, HOW MUCH, WHAT TYPE etc etc...

hair-man,

Welcome to our community.

Despite Richie's advice not to get a hair transplant in the UK, though there are many sub-par hair restoration clinics there, we believe that the Farjo clinic in particular has risen to the top over the last few years and is on par with some of the very best hair transplant clinics in the world.

Richie,

Though I can appreciate your enthusiasm for your work performed by Dr. Feller, it seems that the majority of your threads have been attempting to undermine our efforts by promoting the false dogma that there are no quality hair transplant physicians in the UK.

Despite your skepticism of such, there is plenty of evidence on this forum that goes against your words and I for one don't appreciate you attempting to direct every UK seeking patient to Dr. Feller specifically. In my opinion, you are doing way too much cheering for someone who's hair transplant results haven't come in yet.

Dr. Feller is an excellent surgeon, but let his work speak for itself and minimize the cheerleading.
