Senior Member hatrick Posted May 26, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted May 26, 2008 whats the general time frame for the newly transplanted follicles to start shedding? Do they usually all shed around the same time or do some follicles shed quicker and others take longer? From what i understand the follicles usually shed when the crusts start coming off around 8-14 days. Is that right? Would it be strange for some to shed before most of the other ones do? Bill - Seemiller
hatrick, Hair shedding after hair transplant surgery typically occurs between 2 to 4 weeks. Not all of the hairs will shed all at once. You will just gradually start to notice some additional hair shedding in the shower, on your pillow, or just that some the transplanted hair on your head is missing. All normal! Best wishes, Bill
