Hello everyone, I just recieved my order from generic4all.com of Finasteride. Im pretty concerned about a couple of things. For starters I saw a post here on this forum about generic4all, about an email that was sent to that person, trying to analyze and see if they were legit or not. This is something that may point out that they are fake:

Here is the email from the other user on this forum from this thread (http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/showthread.php?t=153246):

"From Generic4all:

Dear ??my name',

Thank you for ordering with Generic4All.

May I start by saying that we take our clients very seriously and I will personally make sure you will receive the best service.

I would also like to point out that, although there are many cheaper versions of generic drugs available, we still choose to offer only the best Generic Propecia, which is manufactured by Aurochem Lab or Cipla, depending on Availability or shipping location, and is well known and recognized with FDA approval for its facilities and mutual manufacturing agreements.

The generic Finasteride 1Mg you received is identical to Propecia.

Finasteride

Aurochem Lab

Aurofina-1

We can also provide COA (Certificate of Analysis) for the drug you ordered.

Each batch manufactured for Generic4All receives a COA (actual certificate) from a third party, independent from both Generic4All and the manufacturer.

If for some reason you are not happy with your order we can send you again the very same drug from a totally different manufacturer.

We have opened a support ticket for your order and should you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to contact me anytime.

Best Regards,

Carla David

Generic4all gave me a standard response (they must give this response to everyone as its also posted on the other forum). Their above response & their website both confirm that the generic Propecia will be made by either Cipla (who produce Finpecia) or Aurochem Labs (which product Aurofina-1), so they are not hiding anything there."

Ok, now look at the email I recieved when I emailed generic4all.com :

"Hello,

Thank you for contacting Generic4All.

All our generic drugs are coming from very reputable manufacturers that actually manufacture for the brand name drugs.

We can also provide COA (Certificate of Analysis) for the drug you order.

Each batch manufactured for Generic4All receives a COA (actual certificate) from a third party, independent from both Generic4All and the manufacturer.

I would also like to point out that, although there are many cheaper versions of generic drugs available, we still choose to offer only the best Generic Finasteride, which is manufactured by Aurochem Lab or Cipla, depending on availability or shipping location, and is well known and recognized with FDA approval for its facilities and mutual manufacturing agreements.

We are currently processing your order and you will receive a shipping confirmation email from our shipping department as soon as it has been send.

The average delivery time with regular airmail to the US is 14 business days but in most cases it is a lot faster.

Should you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to contact me anytime.

That is suspicious enough to me. On top of that I received my pills in an envelope with the pill strips inside. The pills supposedly came from:

Stefan Lerner

PO Box 705

Victoria, Mahe

Republic of Seychelles

Also I did not recieve Aurofina 1 from Aurochem Lab, I recieved pills of Finpecia from Cipla, and a little slip of paper containing information about Finpecia and its dosage and side effects etc. The pills themselves look pretty real to me, ive never taken any hair loss treatment drug before, but because I am losing hair at an early age Im trying to find a solution to my problem the cheapest way possible.

Do you guys think I should take these pills anyways? If it is actually Finpecia, then it should work since Finpecia has been proven to work, but the funny emails and funny packaging have me hesitating... The Finpecia did not come in a box either. Here are some pics of the packaging.

If any of you have any suggesttions or info about generic4all, or the finpecia, please reply to this post and let us all know. Im sure there are many people out there wondering if generic4all.com is a trust worthy site and if pills in packaging like this should even be taken. Thank you very much.

I personally have a problem with online pharmacies in that you don't really know what you are getting. Cipla is one of the largest pharmaceuticals in India and is where your medication came from. The problem with this is that the standards are not as high as from the original manufacturer thus the quality may not be the same.

Quick story; one of our patients in southern California called me up one day and was freaking out because he was losing his hair again (not transplanted hair). After racking my brain for a few minutes and after several questions that when answered still didn't help I asked him if ANYTHING in his regimen had changed including the source of his meds. He told me that he in fact had switched from his normal local pharmacy to an online pharmacy. When I did some research into the company I found out that the meds were indeed from India. I told the patient to throw away his latest stash and go back to his local pharmacy for the real stuff then to call me in six months.

Well, he did call me back and it was to tell me that not only had his hair loss stopped again he had already had significant regrowth.

THIS is why I don't trust online pharmacies.

My advise? Take a walk to your local pharmacy.

You don't have to buy Propecia, you can buy original Proscar. It costs about the same for 30 tablets but because they are a bigger dosage you simply cut the pills into quarters and take one quarter of a tablet instead of a full tablet. This will reduce the cost by 75% because 30 tablets will last you for four months.

briz,

Cipla are a highly respected indian pharmacuticals company. What you have purchased is their version of propecia.

While the filler material used may differ from mercks propecia, the active ingredient ie..1mg finasteride, is the very same.

Of course there are charlatans selling dud products online as jotronics story alluded to but what you have purchased is fine.

Well, its good to hear that finpecia should work, i hope it does. I have started taking them since yesterday.

Also a quick update, apparently generic4all.com called me in regards to my worries about the medication i recieved. The phone call sounded pretty legit from what I can tell, letting me know that they switched from aurofina 1 to finpecia as their main supplier. The phone call sounded pretty legit to me so hopefully everything works out and I stop the hair loss and probably get some hair back in a couple of months icon_smile.gif

In todays cut throat money hungry counterfit rings, you can not tell real from fakes on the good counterfits (bad ones easy to tell).

Packaging are same, you have to look at pills them self and compare-- bad counterfits the numbers or letters on pills are not "laser" in put flaw stamped.

Good counterfits, it pills/tablets look exactly the same.

20/20 did a story about a year ago on a MEGA $20 million counterfit bust on Viagra. The Viagra was packaged in same and pills looked the same. 20/20 took to Pfizer scientist who develop Viagra and under a microscope couldnt tell. They had to cut open the pill and analyze the contents-- the Counterfit Viagra was bascially "Sheetrock dust, water, salt"!!!

The best option is get a Doctor Prescription and get from pharmacy. It is the safest way to get pharmacutical products. Even imports which are suppose to be cheaper have been audited with a 38% counterfit rate in 2007.

Hey Briz,

I saw your posts on the other forum www.hairlosstalk.com and you really are a tough cooky. Generic4All are really trying their best to accommodate by providing all the information you asked them to. What else do you want? That they come and serve it to you on a silver tray? Do your research before and only then judge.

I have ordered from Generic4All now the third time and not only do they have an excellent customer support, they also provide proper generic medication without compromising the quality.

Just one happy camper??¦

Well let me add my story----

I used finasteride from geeric for all and it did nothing for me at all.

After a year I switched to proscar and the results have been very good with it. I will never buy from an online pharmacy again.

What you have there is legit like a couple others have said. I ordered Finpecia from Inhouse Pharmacy and that also came in almost the same exact packaging as you. The reason it's packaged like that (in envelope) is so that it goes through customs with less issues. Inhouse is a little cheaper and my order took 19 total days (13 business days). The only difference between Propecia and Finpecia is the way it's made and processed because of certain laws. Cipla is one of India's largest pharmaceutical companies and Generics4all has a good track record so I wouldn't worry about it. The reason they use names like Sarah David and Carla David in support emails is for marketing purposes. It's like when you call Dell support and the Indian rep tells you his name is Tim Jones or something. It makes some customers feel more comfortable.

I came across this post while I was searching for information on buying from generic-pharmacy-net. They also use Aurochem Labs for Aurofina-1. Since it seemed to be legit I bought it but after a few months of use and no results and more importantly not one side effect I started to get a bit curious and started my own research. Here is what I found. Aurochem Labs is NOT WHO-GMP certified. Even if they were, according to the Drug Controller General of India, that certification has been less useful in recent history because of it being basically for sale. The DCGI has no record of this company being certified either by the WHO or by the DGCI. I then got in touch with the online company I used and gave them this information. Not a word from them about how this must be untrue. Instead they said "We will refund you immediately." When I asked if they'd follow up and investigate this company the guy seemed uninterested and said "sure". So that is my experience, maybe by some miracle they are legit but if they are why lie about their certification? Hope this helps one of you. Luckily I have AMEX and they are great about going after these companies. Perhaps that is why AMEX will not longer be accepted by this online pharmacy (according to them).

Generic4all is fake. I'm trying to get the word out there but it's remarkably difficult. There are no easy websites where you can give your opinions about internet scams without signing your life away, giving your phone number, credit card # etc. I am on your forum because I found this thread, I don't have hair loss.

I ordered generic viagra and Levitra, received real-looking pills but no effect. I am very sensitive to these drugs but even after taking three times the normal dose of them, there was no effect. Definitely Fake!

-Answer by Generic4All -

Dear Customer,

Thank you for your comments.

We do appreciate an open communication with our customers and it is company's policy to act and behave as transparent as possible, as only this way will we assure complete customer satisfaction.

I think this forum is a great way for people to communicate and share their experience. Unfortunately it is difficult to define these experiences, as more often they are converted into opinions, believes and current mood situations. You stated: "Generic4all is fake". W

e as a company cannot be fake. How could you consider Generic4All as a fake company? We are offering you a toll free hotline, online chat, email reply within 24 hours, including weekends. How could Generic4All be possibly fake as a company by offering these services?

You should know that we are shipping Generic Medication, which carries the exact same active ingredient and dosage as the branded counterpart medication does. This can be confirmed through certificates of analysis (COA). The received generic Viagra and Generic Levitra do sontain the exact same active ingredients, which are Sildenafil Citrate (100mg) as well as Vardenafil (20mg).

These received medication are not copies, or counterfeit medications (as you stated in one of your emails), but indeed Generics that are confirmed as Generics by bioequivalence tests. I am convinced that your licensed physician will be able to confirm the same to you.

We would be happy to find a solution that will satisfy both sides, but I would kindly ask you to give us the opportunity to do so. We consider you as our customer, as you have ordered with us therefore we are responsible to complete the order for you. Completing an order means to us that the customer is completely satisfied with his order.

May I kindly ask if I could contact you personally over the phone, so that we can analyze the situation and find a solution?

I wish you a very nice Sunday and hope to hear from you soon.

Best Regards,

Andy Williams

Addendum to my prior post re fake Viagra.

Generic4All customer service has sent me other pills to try and they work. They are going to replace the original shipment of pills that didn't work. They have exceeded my expectations in fixing this problem despite my initial skepticism.

I'm usually the first one to be skeptical about online pharmacies, or at least I used to be. Just wanted to put my two cents' in, cause I've actually had good experiences with this website. I regularly order Generic Propecia from them as I suffer from thinning hair all over. I'm only 35 as well and from Cali, so what can I say? Appearance matters in this part of the States, sad but true. :P

So anyway, I've been ordering from these guys for well over a year now, I think, and no complaints so far! Whenever there's been a problem it's been so easy to get in touch with customer service and they're always really friendly and helpful.

I think what you guys need to remember too is that not every product works equally well for every person. My body started reacting to Propecia pretty quickly, but I can imagine other people need a bigger dose of Finasteride to notice any effects. Proscar is probably a better option in those cases.

By the way, has anyone ever tried Dutasteride for hair loss? It's not really been officially approved for this, but from what I've read it's supposed to be even better than Finasteride...
