Regular Member ron73 Posted January 2, 2006 Regular Member Share Posted January 2, 2006 I had 5300 FU performed on Nov. 18th and have a good measure of optimism. My only concern is this constant itching. Am I doing any harm when I softly itch or rub my fingers over my scalp to stop the itchy sensation? Also, is there anything I can do to combat this itchy feeling?

Administrators Pat - Community Publisher Posted January 3, 2006 Administrators Share Posted January 3, 2006 Ron73, Congratulations on your mega mega session. I'm hesitant to make medical suggestions about your condition but I think using Selsum Blue shampoo to moderate any inflamation might help. But I do suggest you ask your physician first before trying this shampoo or any other treatments. If you do get a treatment that works please do tell us. Best wishes for a bumper crop in 2006. Senior Member JohnH Posted January 3, 2006 Senior Member Share Posted January 3, 2006 Are you using graftcyte? It keeps the area moist and I think relieves itching.

Senior Member GuitarPlayer Posted January 3, 2006 Senior Member Share Posted January 3, 2006 Just wanted to mention that Graftcyte also helped my itching after I had my transplant. I was spraying that stuff on several times a day.

Regular Member RichG Posted January 9, 2006 Regular Member Share Posted January 9, 2006 You can reduce itching by taking Bendryl.
Senior Member Robert_ Posted January 10, 2006 Senior Member Share Posted January 10, 2006 Even just spraying water mist on the recipient area could alleviate minor itching. Worth a try until your graftcyte comes! -Robert ------------------------------ Check out the results of my surgical hair restoration performed by Dr. Jerry Cooley by visiting my Hair Loss Weblog
