  1. I also experienced that and still am (2 months post op) a lot of pimples and dr. wong told me that I probably would. he did recommend squeezing them to release the puss.
  2. I had 5300 done in Nov. 2005 at Hasson and Wong and it seems to be going well. I have some photos in the phot album page. will update with 2 months pic soon
  3. I agree with JohnH - it does sound like you have your decision made on the HT - so just consult the best doctors and best wishes for the hair that you desire. Ultimately it is your decision.
  4. Hey man, you have to come to the realization that no one (or very few) keep the hairline that tey had when they were 16. It is a natural part of life. We all get older and we all die. Hair transplants are great for those who have lost significant hair (I had 5300 FU) but at your stage in the game - I am going to agree with the other posts. Take propecia and realize that everyone ages a little. If you had a hair transplant now - you are just risking an unnatural look later. I don't think it is worth it at all. Wait a few more years, start propecia tomorrow and see how that works. On the other hand, I know you just want to look your best. But let's face it - most guys do this hair thing because of the women. And I will tell you that most women (even the younger ones) are not going to blink at eye at your hair loss
  5. thinkingaboutit made some great points. I hope you read his post mrinvisible. having a HT is nothing to be ashamed of. I do hope that your doctor performed the right procedure though. if he didn't. there is no shame for you in having a ht. you will just be in a position where you have to ask 'okay- what do I do now to fix this' and then do it. No shame.
  6. I live in Euless(dallas) and just had a hair transplant - but I had mine in Canada at Hasson and Wong. My best suggestion is do not select a surgeon just because they are in your area. Instead, search for who you think is the best and then go there. It cost me a $300 plane ticket to for a doctors visit last Feb. and then another $300 plane ticket in Nov. for the surgery. That $600 was money very well spent. You may very well find someone great in Dallas. But I wouldn't make that your only criteria. Just a suggestion
  7. Thanks for the pics of what your HT looked like at 6 weeks! Becuase that is EXACTLY where I am at right now and seeing that my hair looks exactly like yours did is very reassuring. Dr. Wong performed my surgery. I look forward to comparable results to yours. Thanks!
  8. Thanks Guitar Player, I had the surgery done at Hasson and Wong in Vancouver Canada. Long trip from Texas! I just posted my photo album. I will try to figure out how to link it to this page
  9. Thanks! I had not be using graftcyte but just did a search and ordered some because of your suggestion.
  10. I had 5300 FU performed on Nov. 18th and have a good measure of optimism. My only concern is this constant itching. Am I doing any harm when I softly itch or rub my fingers over my scalp to stop the itchy sensation? Also, is there anything I can do to combat this itchy feeling?
