Hair Brewer
Hello Agio, It was 1700 grafts and I think at least 2200 hairs.
Senior Member its752 Posted December 19, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted December 19, 2008 Hair Brewer, I got to say, for 1700 grafts it is a big improvement. Was it a budget thing that you couldn't do a bigger session?
Hair Brewer
Hello its752, well, not that I have a lot of cash to throw around, but I had suggested more to my doctor. He said 1700 would be enough. And he is quite reputable. Time will tell eventually I guess.
Regular Member Agio Posted December 23, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted December 23, 2008 Hair Brewer-that's a lot of area covered with 1700 grafts. Take a look at my HT log and the # of grafts or any other peoples there. It's a big improvement no doubt but the doc may, and I say may have spread em a little thin. No matter, if the quality of work is good then the 2nd one should fill it all in nicely. Yeah, we always seem to need 2 My Hair Loss Weblog
Regular Member ReadyForChange Posted December 27, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted December 27, 2008 Very nice Hair Brewer, the difference is definitely noticeable. Like others have said, 1700 grafts is on the lower side and you should ask your doctor what the rationale was behind going with the lower number of grafts. Is your donor area density low? What is the largest session your Dr. has performed? Getting an HT is a life changing decision, but it's still an uncomfortable experience. Moving forward, you should make sure you get adequate coverage your next HT. I recommend getting an estimate from your doctor and posting to the site; the folks on here are awesome and wont steer you wrong in their advice. Hairy Bum
Your growth rate is pretty slow but you are definately making progress. For 1700 grafts your results look promising and when the hair matures and more growth is to come you should be quite happy.
