texone
How come I don't hear much about a "second skin" dressing. I had NO scabbing from my transplant because the doctor used a "second skin" dressing. Essentially it was a neosporin type ointment that was bandaged in place for 48 hours. He said (and he was right) that the scabs wouldn't be able to form if the scalp was kept "moist" with that ointment. That sure seems the way to go - but most docs, even my own, don't seem to use it. It was only suggested to me as I repeatedly expressed concern about scabbing. By day 6 I was out dating and NO ONE ever noticed.
