Senior Member Smoothy Posted April 10, 2005 Senior Member Share Posted April 10, 2005 Doctors, Do you recommend your patients to color their hair lighter or highlight their hair after HT? Does lighter color hair help make the transplanted hair look more natural/unnoticable by being closer in color to the scalp than dark brown or black hair? Senior Member Robert_ Posted April 26, 2005 Senior Member Share Posted April 26, 2005 Smoothy, The reason that many hair loss sufferers and post HT veterans dye their hair a lighter color is for exactly that reason - to lessen the contrast between the scalp and hair color to reduce the image of thinning. I believe that it can be very effective as long as the color is not too unnatural. I have found that with hair dye, a higher price just may annotate better quality. Especially your first time, instead of attempting it yourself put your trust into a repuatable nearby salon. Also, a little most definitely goes a long way. -Robert ------------------------------ Check out the results of my surgical hair restoration performed by Dr. Jerry Cooley by visiting my Hair Loss Weblog
