Senior Member Clint69 Posted February 6, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted February 6, 2009 When a Dr. refers to percentage of density, what exactly does that mean? So for example if my Dr. says I will achieve 50% density in a certain area, 50% of what? Does this mean 50% of my original density? Senior Member Leeson Posted February 6, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted February 6, 2009 Density refers to the # of fu's per cm2. word is one doesn't notice hairloss until one loses more than 50% of their hair in a given area. unlike fullness where hair characteristics come into play. density only refers to the amount of fu's/cm2. non-hairloss density in caucasians is normally 90-120 cm2, so 50% would mean the doc transplanted roughly 45 fu/cm2.
