Hi

First , take a deep breath. You are already used to wearing a shaved hairsytle so that buys you a bit of time..

How you tried Propecia and minoxidil? You are a bit young for a HT and will most likely progress in hairloss... Stabilize it first and then you can start seeking option but you are quite young.

Thanks to all replies, I really appreciate it. Currently I am awaiting feedback from H&W, Shapiro, and Feller regarding online consultations. I will let you know how it goes. I have decided that financing is a must, but if I am not an IDEAL candidate then I will pass on the procedure.

Mac,

First off, welcome to our forum community. Our forum members have already given you some excellent advice but I thought I'd add some of my thoughts.

I'm in agreement with what many members have said already.

Based on your pictures, you appear to have thinning not only on the top of your head, but all over your scalp. You might have diffuse (patterned or unpatterned) alopecia which clearly complicates things for any type of hair transplant surgery (strip or FUE).

If indeed you have diffuse alopecia (in conjunction with androgenetic alopecia or not), you really have no "safe zone". What this means in simple terms is, that transplanted hair may not be permanent.

In my opinion, consider using Propecia and Rogaine in order to fight against future hair loss and possibly even regrow some hair.

Consult also with a dermatologist or qualified hair restoration physician who can first diagnose your type of hair loss and work with you to develop realistic hair restoration goals.

Best wishes,

Bill
