I have been using avodart for almost a year.Taking almost every day.This drug has not done anythihg to my hairline, no gain, no loss.Thought avo had stopped/slowed mt hairloss but I recently noticed that my crown area seems to be thinner? Also avodart is only approved for BPH at mo, thinking of switching to propecia but would this be less effective as only blocks type2 DHT. 6 HTs !! around 7690g!! Senior Member hairbank Posted April 13, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted April 13, 2007 Talk with a Doc but, Yes, since Fin only blocks DHT AR II instead of DHT AR II & AR I, it will likely be less effective for you. You may want to see if Minoxidil can help you. I didn't like the messy regimen but if Dut or Fin don't help you, you might want to give it a try.
