Will or has the use of tobacco products hindered your procedure

I have operated on lots of smokers who got great results. BUT, I tell all patients that their risk of infection is 5 or more times higher than a nonsmoker, and I personally believe smoking is compromising some grafts.

 

Best to stop 10 days preop.
