Regular Member Johna1a Posted May 2, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted May 2, 2008 I had a hair transplant just under three months ago. Recently, I began to notice a number of red bumps on the are where I had the transplant. Has anybody else experienced this?
Bill - Seemiller
Johna1a, Yes, this is perfectly normal. These ingrown hairs are signs of activity underneath the skin. In my experience, new hair starts to pop through 2-4 weeks after signs of pimples in those areas. If the pimples get bad or hurt, you might want to moisten the skin with a warm damp cloth by letting it sit there on your scalp for 10-15 minutes a few times a day. Best wishes, Bill
