Senior Member Desperately Seeking Hair Posted November 1, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted November 1, 2008 If you think you are balding, you probably are. Talk to a doc to be sure.
Senior Member john36 Posted November 16, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted November 16, 2008 I think you are not balding. And instead of ,at 24,looking in the mirror at the top of your head ,look at this beautifull American hotties everywhere man...ask them do they shave...and if they say no demand to look their balding spot that they might try to hide!!! Bill - Seemiller
elmatto, Since visual signs of hair loss aren't noticeable until approximately 50% loss, it's not always easy to tell by a photograph or even by looking in the mirror. But if you think you are seeing thinning in the crown, there is a chance that you are in the beginning phases of genetic male pattern hair loss. If you want to know for sure, consult with a dermatologist and let him/her examine your scalp under magnification. He/she will look for signs of hair miniaturization and thinning throughout your scalp. Best wishes, Bill
Senior Member mmhce Posted November 17, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted November 17, 2008 Bill is right. The only sure way to tell at your stage is under magnification. You need greater hair loss that this, to have greater confidence that it might be MPB. The pictures don't look that bad. If it MPB, start on finasteride and minoxidil for the crown. take care...
