If so, from what I've read about other HT experiences, this highly varies depending on the individual. I'm about 5 weeks post-op and still have a slight about of numbness in the donor area, probably a little more in the recipient area, but not much in either. Give it another month or two and, if it's not any better, call your Doc. Senior Member tkotko Posted March 20, 2006 Senior Member Share Posted March 20, 2006 I was numb for nearly 9 months, though it did improve as time went on. I was kind of worried after six months, but finally improved.

Right now I'm still a little bit numb in the donor area (right above it), and not at all anywhere else. It has gotten significantly better since the surgery, but it's not all the way back yet. 1,614 with Dr. Pistone on 2/3/06 in Marlton, NJ.
