DHI (London) or Farjo, Manchester

Please help.

I am female, and I seem to be drawing a blank on who to go to. I live for part of the time in Athens, Greece - but return to England periodically now. I had really considered going to the US but I think the long-haul would be particularly difficult for me unfortunately.

My questions are:

- Who would be the best to go to

- If DHI - who is the best in London

- If Farjo - who - as they are also listed on

this site as recommended surgeons

A Theoharis Sotirios of Athens, Greece, is listed on the site. Has anyone had any feedback about this person?

All your comments will be so much appreciated as I am wanting to have a scar-free procedure done this summer, as it's been going on for a long, long time now.

Many thanks, Bee

Bee,

I dont know of any doctors with the respective clinics you mentioned-- you need to do your extensive research before picking any doctor.

If you do consider the US. Dr. Sharon Keene, who is female, does a lot of female HT as well as male. She is a good doctor to consider .

Bee,

Just my two cents.

I live just 5 miles away from the Farjo clinic in Manchester England.

After doing my research on this site I chose to go long haul to Dr Jeffrey Epstein in Miami.

Distance should not be an object no matter what the difficulty. You simply cannot choose a surgeon on the basis of geography - you have to live with the results long after the memories of the journey have subsided.

As Smoothy notes, Dr Sharon Keene gets very good reviews on this site and others.

Good luck with your search and your decision.

I'll second Neil's opinions w.r.t. living with the results of your decisions. I too live in the UK and after many months of research on this site (which I think you should consider), I have come to the same conclusion - that the USA's specialists recommended on this site -generally offer the greater level of surgical competency and technical expertise . . . especially important if you want to minimise scarring.

The favourable USD-GBP exchange rate should be factored into the procedure and the travel costs. I really don't think you should compromise anything because of travel time.

I have an 'interview' with the Shapiro Clinic on 11th April to establish suitability for a procedure with Dr Keene in July. I'll keep you posted if all goes well.

Trust me, you will not go wrong with Dr. Keene, I'm one month 2000+ post-op with Dr Keene and I still have NO RESERVATIONS in recommending her. She is a professional in every aspect-Bonzo

Many thanks for your posts - very much appreciated.

Sorley Boy - thanks for your advice - can you please keep me posted about Sharon Keene. In which state is she based for procedures?

I will have surgery this year, and I anticipate that it will be sometime early Autumn when I return to England. Oh how I wish we had some really excellent surgeons there - it would make life so much easier.

Many thanks, Bee.l

Do your research about Dr.A's Clinic, New Delhi.

Sometimes, especially where HT are concerned, location should not be a barrier.

He may be your best option as you want a scarless surgery.

Check out close ups of some fue donor areas.

Dear Bee, you are invited to London Seminar at 26th of June to evaluate our results and have a talk with our doctors. It's up to you to decide what is best for your situation.

Best regards,

Bee I. . . .

As you previously asked (if you are still there!), I have further information w.r.t. my procedure with Dr Keene.

I've scheduled a 2,500 graft session at her SMG Tucson, Arizona clinic. I had a very narrow window of opportunity for this because of study commitments and by early May I'd only just succeeded in making arrangements for 27th July . . . so, at least 3 months notice is preferrable.

Bee, if you are based in the UK, most scheduled flights to the USA are quite expensive now. I'd suggest that if you make the choice of Shapiro Medical Group then Tucson is less costly (although further) to get to than Minneapolis IF you make use of an inexpensive charter flight to Las Vegas and then get a $140 (USD) return flight (Las Vegas/Tucson) using South-West Airlines. Charter works out at about half the scheduled fare . . . (~??500 v. ~??1000 GBP from Manchester) - unless of course you can wangle something from the London area.

If you are still interested I can get you further details (maybe best if you give me your e-mail address?) - but I'll probably be posting my experiences on the forum anyway - particularly for those in the UK.

Regards, SorleyBoy
