Regular Member seanj Posted January 22, 2006 Regular Member Share Posted January 22, 2006 would like to know if anyone has had any experiences with ipl. i have some old style plug looking transplants at my hairline that i want to have removed. i know most cases get them surgically removed and retransplanted into the area. i shave my head so i'm only looking to have them removed. 1. would ipl removal have the same results as having them surgically removed? 2. is ipl able to target the individual plugs without killing any surrounding hair?...or does it just work within the area? 3. the plugs that i wish to have removed have that small round punch hole type wound in my skin...once the plugs are removed will this smooth over or leave a little scar? thanks for any info

Administrators Pat - Community Publisher Posted January 23, 2006 Administrators Share Posted January 23, 2006 Seanj, I'm guessing the IPL stands for "Impulse Laser". I really can't answer your question. But I suggest you contact any of the leading surgeons recommended on this site and ask them about it. For information about hair transplant repairs, click here.
