Regular Member Bob Jansen Posted September 4, 2003 Regular Member Share Posted September 4, 2003 Compare this to Jotronics scabs (which were gone in 6 days). If you had this done at IHLT San Diego its going to take 20 days. The work is just crude in that regard.
Senior Member Smoothy Posted September 9, 2003 Senior Member Share Posted September 9, 2003 IF he had a lot of post op bleeding/or seepage in the receiptant site, then his scabs are going to last longer. I would suggest soaking in a bathtab at least 2x a day to soften up the scabs and try to keep them moist.
Senior Member JohnH Posted September 11, 2003 Senior Member Share Posted September 11, 2003 I agree with Smoothy - keep them moist. I have a small spray bottle that I fill with salt water. I boil the water first in the microwave, then add salt (sea salt from the grocery store is better). Then you can spray your head all day long if need be. Be sure and wait until the water is no longer really hot (duh).
Guest
Actually, you can just use regular contact lense saline solution which has just the right concentration of salt. Just put it in a spray bottle.
Guest
Mtv-I agree with the other gentlemen.Although,I went swimming in the ocean(check with your doctor) and it seemed to remove the scabs and provide greater flexibility in my donor/neck area.
