Regular Member Dr. William Lindsey Posted February 9, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted February 9, 2010 This fellow had a very large and complex scar revision posted by me over a year ago. Please see: http://hair-restoration-info.c...=290100001#290100001 He and I both considered him "done". He had stopped by the office and asked if we could do anything for the 2 "corners" that had slight (see previous post of this fellow for comparison!) widening and on the right side only, a bit more hypertrophy. Rather than re-excise this fellow's scar in the right side...he exercises daily and heavy; we opted to try an FUE into his scar. The entire central section of his scar revision is essentially undetectable, so we only focused on the corners. Sorry in advance for the pics. Even my new camera has difficulty focussing on the target with all of the surrounding hair light reflections. Shown are initial scars, preop this time, donor FUE site, recipient sites at the end of the case and at a week...which don't show alot. But on physical exam, I don't think that he lost any grafts. He'll be back in 2 weeks for a site check. I think we did a total of 144 grafts. I referenced the difficulty in following the alignment of hairshafts in a thread elsewhere on this site last week. This fellow had about a 95% success on all of our initial extractions to the left of midline. As we crossed over, the hairs bent ever so slightly and I would bet that we got a 40% rate....so we went back to the left to finish the case. Dr. Lindsey McLean VA William H. slicedbread
Dr. Lindsey Thanks for posting my pics, they look great. I just can't wait until the grafts start growing.
