  1. Latinlotus, Your comments and response from the surgeon is very interesting. However the surgeon seemed to indicate that the benefit to cost ratio is not that high, so I may opt not to have this done. I am still open to suggestions for natural or artifical meds that are accessible and cost-effective.
  2. Hi Bill and everyone, I have read the post: http://www.regrowhair.com/hair-transplant-surgery/hair-...splant-post-op-tips/ but I am wondering if anyone has any ideas or tips on natural of artificial meds that can aid in the healing process of the scar and other tissue post-op. (as well as aid re-growth of hair). Copper peptides, aloe vera, witch-hazel as well as olive oil has been mentioned, but I remember that after my aunt's surgery for cancer, she was recommended to stay away from meat. Does any one have any ideas? I doubt spironolactone or fluridil may help healing, but may aid in regrowth. Thanks.

  4. Dr. Linsey, By Hypertrophy, do you mean that the scar is growing uncontrablly? And Maddog.. did you have staples or sutures?
  5. Thanks for the response. By 3000 grafts, do you mean 6000 hairs (bearing in mind that the average graft may be 2 or 3 hair per follicular unit) or 3000 hairs?

  7. Hi everyone, I would like your comments on the amount of hair that you all think should be transplanted to the top and front to have an acceptable look (illusion of density) notwithstanding scalp laxity. You can take a look at my pictures at the following addresses: http://i493.photobucket.com/albums/rr293/mmhce/PICT0007.jpg http://i493.photobucket.com/albums/rr293/mmhce/PICT0012.jpg http://i493.photobucket.com/albums/rr293/mmhce/PICT0020.jpg http://i493.photobucket.com/albums/rr293/mmhce/PICT0030.jpg http://i493.photobucket.com/albums/rr293/mmhce/PICT0031.jpg http://i493.photobucket.com/albums/rr293/mmhce/PICT0032.jpg http://i493.photobucket.com/albums/rr293/mmhce/PICT0048.jpg Thank you for your comments.

  9. Is this because the suturing/stapling was not their handy work and they do not want to accept "responsibility" for any "perceived" low quality of such stapling or damage done in removing the stapling?
  10. A couple of times when I took minoxidil, I would feel faint, but never chest pains. It is not just Rogaine and Finasteride. You need to stop taking all medication and go to a doctor at once.
  11. He started to loose hair early like myself and had to make a serious decision at age 22. I have followed his comments throughout the forum and he has explained his history and family history. I believe that himself and the surgeon would have projected a worst case scenario and made strategic goals based on Norwood 6 or 7. I started to loose my hair at age 16. If he has used his resources conservatively, it would not matter that much.
  12. Hi Thinman, Judging by the timeframe of 4.5 months after the surgery, I'm guessing that it could be the minoxidil of finasteride. I have had sheds going onto finasteride twice. The shedding within the first couple of weeks or month is suppossed to be the shockloss. What advice has the clinic given to you about this shedding at this time frame after the surgery? hairbank has some good opinions in this thread: http://hair-restoration-info.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/746...521022482#4521022482 Please keep me informed. Thanks.
  13. Thank you. If you have any latest pics of your transplant, please post the link. Thanks again.
  14. Helllo Thinman, I know this is a little bit off the topic of the shampoo, but I have made a reservation with Dr. Alba Reyes Sagiv for 2009 and I would just like to find out how is your transplant progressing in? and what is the follow-up from the clinic like? Is the service good? Thanks.
  15. Any one with any comments on Folligen or any other copper peptide solutions? I started using it to ease the irritation of the minodixil in alcohol solution. The alcohol dehydrates the scalp.
  16. I had seen some posts of negative experiences with Dr Alba Reyes: http://hair-restoration-info.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/346...861/m/7671050973/p/5 http://hairlosshelp.com/forums/messageview.cfm?catid=10...45&FTVAR_MSGDBTABLE= http://hairlosshelp.com/forums/messageview.cfm?catid=10...45&FTVAR_MSGDBTABLE= http://hairlosshelp.com/forums/messageview.cfm?catid=10...48&FTVAR_MSGDBTABLE= http://hairlosshelp.com/forums/messageview.cfm?catid=10...14&FTVAR_MSGDBTABLE= Has anyone any comments? I want to make an objective and dispassionate decision.
  17. Does Dr.Timothy Carman have any comments on the post-op pictures of Thin man?
  18. Sorry PLEASE GROW PLEASE, I'm not associated with thinman. But those who have went(Eric James and thin man) please post your pics and tell us how things turned out.
  19. Hello All, This question is for Eric James. Have you posted the post-op pictures as yet? I am from the Caribbean and am seriously considering going to Dr. Alba Reyes Sagiv.
