  1. Using just one 1mm dose of Rogaine has always been beneficial for me. Just wondering if there was a benefit to taking half the 1mm in the morning and half at night....or would be using the entire 1mm all at once work better. Or is it all the same? Basically, which is more effective? Using half twice a day....or all at once..once a day. Any difference??
  2. Rogaine has always helped me keep my hair up front. No difference between now and 10 years ago. To clarify, I've used Rogaine before by dipping the end of a q-tip in the liquid and spread it on the scalp that way. Sure, the 1m measurement isn't calibrated, but after using this product for so long, I've realized that moistening the affected areas works fine. With a q-tip, there's less dripping. Might not work for you, but it did for me in the past. I tried using Xabdrix 15% plus on my temples a few months ago, but foolishly gave up after a few weeks. I am going to apply that each night before bed...just to the temple region and side hairline. I will give it 4-5 months (since I've always responded so well to minoxidil) and decide if it's working in the temple region. I will update the forum.
  3. ....I'm not really interested in the idea of getting transplanted hair in my temple region (not the top part of temples, but the actual side of my head). It's frustrating. Already on Rogaine and Propecia. Is it even worth it to dab a q-tip in Rogaine 5% and touch up the temples?? Has anyone had any succes with getting some side temple hair back?? I know someone on here has had to have tried this before. Responses? TIA
  4. ....Do any doctors take the hair from the back of one's neck...right below the back neck hairline...to use for transplantation? It would seem these hairs would make for a good, soft hairline. I've never really researched it...just wondering. I've read about the body hair transplantation, which doesn't sound natural, but wouldn't the back neck hair be much better?

  6. Use a little minoxidil in the morning.
  7. I've concluded that the best results for me have been with Rogaine 5% liquid twice daily....except for the irritation. I'm considering Xandrox 5%. (I've used this product before in a higher dosage and had decent results, but want to get back into a normal 5% twice daily routine). I know there are different versions of the 5%. Which is the most basic Xabdrox 5%?....least likely to cause irritants and least greasy? I don't really need all the bells and whistles, as I already take 1/2 propecia daily. Just want the basic Xandrox 5% that won't cause irritation and greasiness. I think one version has an extra ingredient that may be more messy?? Thanks so much for any help!

  9. Sorry for responding to my own post, but I just want to be as specific as possible....but, I should mention there was no bleeding when the 2 hairs wrapped in fleshy tube substance popped out. Thanks for any help or response!
  10. I have used Rogaine 5% for about 8 years. Along with Propecia, I only use about half the recommended dose once a day on the front part of my scalp/hairline. I have maintained my class 2 Norwood appearance. The Rogaine has definitely "strengthened" the hairline by adding numerous vellous hairs. I recently had 500 fue grafts to fill in the slightly receded temples since my 8 year routine has given me confidence that I have halted my hair loss. I'm not saying Rogaine will work for everyone's hairline, but it has helped mine. Speaking of Rogaine, has anyone else noticed that Rogaine 5% doesn't seem as greasy as it used to? It seems to dry a lot faster when I buy it now. I would think that the makers of Rogaine would market this a little bit more since it's former greasy feeling was a major drawback.
  11. Hi all, I'm 6 days post op from a small (500)FUE procedure. Everything appears fine. But, I was gently combing my hair this morning and noticed what appeared to be a loose graft?? It was two small hairs that were joined at the bottom by the white membraney (for lack of better terms) looking stuff. There was no bulb at the end....just 2 small hairs joined together by the small white tube looking thing..haha. My doc told me everything should be set by day 4. I just want to make sure this isn't a loose graft and if I should be looking out for this again? No bulb at the end, just 2 small hairs that looked like they were cut. Thanks!!
