    I used to never leave home without a cap. But just a few weeks ago being 3 months post op I now have the liberated feeling of not having to wear one. Sorry to read above not all HTs are successful. Mine rocks.

    Sounds like you have a quote for FUE and not FUT? I got a FUT quote from NHI for 2800 grafts for $16,000 about a year ago. I decided to go overseas and get it done though. Luckily when I went our dollar was US.95c

    I wore a cap after my HT when in public. Even when receiving room service. H&W supplied a pillow protector while I stayed in the hotel. I only stayed in Vancouver for 2 days after my HT so I was home to hide when my face swelled up day 5 to 7. Usually your HT doc will have a deal with a local hotel so they know why you are there. No-one gave me a 2nd look. Even if they did I don't think I'd care. Just think of the return of your hairline

    Mrs hair thanks for your reply. I don't have much shock loss yet so will start using minoxidil today!

    Hi guys, I am 18 days post op and want to start using Monoxidil in an effort to minimize shockloss. I was told it's ok to start using it 2 weeks post op but I still have a few flakey scabs lingering so was waiting for those to go. I have read a few threads on this subject but it's still a grey area. I want to know who has started back on Monoxidil after a HT and had good/bad results. No shock loss please! Thanks.

    Hi guys, Firstly I'd like to say thanks for this site. I was thinking of going with NHI in Melbourne since I live in Sydney Australia. I even had a consultation. I thought I might just google "national hair institute review". I found a couple of threads leading to this site and found they don't have a good rep. But even better I was able to come to my own conclusions and choose one the best HT Docs. I've decided travel to Vancouver and go with Doctor Wong. I've been classified as a NW 3A. Thanks again for this site.
