  1. Hey Dewayne nobody was attacking Dr. Cooley so take a damn chill pill man. Sheesh!

I'm just saying why hide your prices? Maybe i don't want to pick up the phone and have the awkward chit chat with a doctors secretary. Especialy if the prices she gives me are nuts.

Bill,i do understand what your saying. That's why doctors should all have that little graft estimater on their site. You know the one where you pick the zones and it basicaly says how many thousand grafts for this coverage and that coverage.

Bottom line is that when a price is hidden on anything you always assume it's because it's overpriced! If it was cheap it would be plastered everywhere icon_smile.gif

  2. What show or at least channel was that on? rogers is one of the lame "celebrity" clients of BOSLEY. I never thought his HT (what you could see of it) looked good. He needed about 5x as much hair as they gave him.

  3. The way i see it if your paying thousands and thousands of dollars and thats the hair style you like and want then why the hell wouldn't a doc do it?

People will give you a hard time about having a hawk for life. Cause it's not the norm. Well take a trip to L.A. or NYC sometime people and you'll see 60 year old punkers and goths that haven't changed their style with age and won't icon_smile.gif

    Different strokes for different folks!

  4. Adrian ,Bill ,& Kman thanks for the replies. At the start of this thread i was just trying to figure out how much if any of the graft placement Dr. Rahal did. I wasn't in the dark to the fact that many Ht Doctors do not do all or most of the planting. Believe me i have researched the hell out of Ht's. Dr. Rahal has a great track record and i would feel very comfortable having him AND his techs work on my mellon icon_smile.gif

At the same time i know some doctors do their fare share of planting, especialy in the hairline. I believe feller places a good amount of grafts himself correct? I also like Dr. Wolf and know for a fact he does a great percentage of graft placement himself.

As long as the Techs are well trained i'm fine with them doing their job. I know a lot of guys want their chosen doctor being there the whole surgery, not going back and forth. Eases the nerves i'm sure icon_smile.gif

  5. Why is there not just a simple Price Chart? http://www.ljhr.com/price.php take a look.....

"Price is only the preliminary aspect of value. The other, more important component of value is quality. Please read further.

Length of Donor Area (centimeters) Number of Hairs Cost per Procedure Approx. # of Grafts* Cost per Hair Cost per Graft** 12 2400 $4,000 1000 $1.67 $4.00

    14 2800 $4,400 1100 $1.57 $4.00

    16 3200 $4,800 1200 $1.50 $4.00

    20 4000 $5,400 1400 $1.35 $3.86

    22 4400 $5,696 1500 $1.29 $3.80

    24 4800 $5,996 1600 $1.25 $3.75

    26 5200 $6,296 1700 $1.21 $3.70

    28 5600 $6,496 1800 $1.16 $3.61

    * This assumes 1 follicular unit of 2 hairs per squared millimeter of donor tissue and that 800 micro/follicular unit grafts are are included in the total graft count. The actual density of hair in the donor area varies easily 20% to both sides of this estimate so please do not assume the above table to be a guarantee of the number of grafts you will receive. It may more more; it may be fewer. We guarantee that we will harvest the donor length noted above, use the donor completely and plant all of grafts created.

** Since follicular unit grafts made by the most restrictive definition of Follicular Unit Transplantation average 2 hairs per graft, multiply the "cost per hair" by 2 to arrive at a competitive graft price if all of your grafts were follicular unit grafts"
