  1. I traveled 2 hours to get an HT yesterday and then went back home. I need to do my first day wash now and have slight/moderate blood spots or maybe scabbing around the grafts. Can I wash this myself or do I need to travel 2 hours down the road and have my clinic do it? Would really like to avoid the drive. Thanks!

  3. Is it advisable to do my first day wash myself. I live 2 hours from clinic and don't really want to drive all the way back for a 5 minute wash. Can I do this on my own? Or should I just mack the 2 hour drive and have them do it? Should have spent the night there. Thanks!

  5. I wasn't going to post pics past 12 months but I really think I've had some noticeable change the last 2 months. Going for small number 2 HT next month to fix slightly thinned area on frontal hairline. Yahoo!!!!!
  6. Maybe I'm measuring wrong but this is how I figure my area that needs to be covered. I have a hairline that is about 6 inches long and I want to fill in the first 1/2 inch. This equals a total of about 15 square cm. If I multiply 15 by my desired added density (30 hairs per square inch) I get a total of 450 graphs. This seems like it would give me a noticeable cosmetic difference. I must admit though the whole measuring process confuses me a bit so maybe I have my calculations wrong.
  7. I had an HT 13 months ago and am really satisfied with the results. I just scheduled to go in and get a small HT to give me a little more thickness to the first 1/2 inch of my hairline. I think once this is done the result will be perfect. My question is how many graphs do you think I would need to get a nice looking density? I'm scheduled to have 400 done but am now having second thoughts as to whether that would be enough. Here's a link to my 12 month photo. Please let me know what you guys think? http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/groupee_files/photo_al...5EE5DBA68B37BAF2.JPG

  9. Here's 1 year pics. What a change from 1 year ago. Absolutely zero regrets . Best 6 grand I ever spent. I'm done posting pics now that I've hit a year. I will probably get HT # 2 sometime in the fall.
  10. Your head looks great in that photo. Perhaps you're being overly critical. I can't see anything wrong with your hair. Maybe you should post a better photo. I would try to hold off another 10 years before HT number 2.
  11. I just saw this photo and can't believe how bald this guy has become. I can't even recognize him anymore. Aging sucks!!!!
  12. Pakistan, I agree with your opinion. I initially thought when my doctor told me the density per square inch (I forgot what that was now) that it seemed a bit low. I never said anything though figuring she knew a lot better than me what would be best. I figured she was probably taking the future into perspective in regards to future loss and donor supply. I don't mind her taking the conservative approach because I believe it looks out for my best interest long term. However, now that I'm seeing how good my hair looks I feel the onset of hair greed kicking in. What I have now is definitely nothing to complain about - but I know with a little more my head would be picture perfect. So I need to reassess whether I should add more, and risk not having enough hair graphs for when I get older should hair loss progress. My family genetics tell me I will never be a norwood 5, but I have learned from this site that is not a guarantee.
  13. I'm at the 9 month mark now. I think I'll probably have to go in for a 2nd HT in a year or so to touch up a few spots that seem a bit thin still, The right side of my head is perfect but the left is a bit thinner than I would like. Fortunately by hair is naturally wavy so it's hard to tell if you're not looking for it. I'd also like to make the very start of my hairline a tad bit thicker. All-in-all i figure another 1200 graphs should do me good. I figure I'll wait a year more though just in case I get some more growth. Overall I'm 100 percent satisfied with my first HT. I knew from the beginning my chances were somewhat good of needing a small 2nd HT.
  14. I've had zero regrets and no complications. HT is definitely the best 6 grand I've ever spent. I was only a norwood 2/3 though so my results were probably much easier to obtain than someone on a higher scale.
  15. It Sounds high to me. For that price you should be able to fly anywhere in the country and pick whatever surgeon you want. Even after paying airfare and hotel you still might come ahead. I think I paid around 6k for 1600 grafts.
  16. Here's my 8 month photos. I ran out of room to post photos on my old album from months 1 - 6. I've decided to post them here instead.
  17. Bill, My results have exceeded my expectations. In just 6 1/2 months the right side of my head has been restored to near perfection. The density is perfectly blended with my natural hair. The lefts side, while looking good, seems to be a bit on the thin side as far as density is concerned. I'm hoping over the next 6 months it will thicken up and compare to the right side. I'm also extremely pleased with how the temple work as progressed. I think one of Dr. keene's great skills can be found in the temple work she does. I think that is a great part of what makes her hairlines look so natural. Everything from the temples to the hairlines seems to flow together perfectly. I have zero regrets about getting my HT. It's awesome to know that I don't have to have a receding hairline. I don't have to look in the mirror and see something I don't like. HT has definitely been a life changing decision for me,
  18. Here's 6 month photos. I'm posting them about a month late. Seven month photos will be in a couple of days.
  19. This is definately one of the best results I've seen for an HT at the 6 month stage. You've got to be thrilled with the result. Looks very natural and I'd never guess you had an HT.
  20. I'm 35 years old. I have a receding front hairline and no hairloss anywhere else. I started noticing recession about 5 years ago. It has been fairly slow. Right now my hair looks great and nobody would no I suffer from hairloss. I had 1700 graphs with Keene about 5 months ago.
  21. I'm definitely not a hypochondriac. I have never taken any drug before this in my life other than antibiotics and the occasional pain killer. I have also been blessed with remarkable health all of my life. So I have no history of thinking things are worse than they actually are. I have found myself sleeping in excess of 12 hours straight regularly since taking this drug. Before taking this drug I would usually sleep 6 or 7 hours. I've found it also has taken away my motivation to get up and do things. The only reason I'm taking it is because my Doctor said that it's a good idea to be on this drug until something better comes along. She told me this before I started taking the drug. I have not yet mentioned to her my difficulties because I wanted to make sure I wasn't in some sort of wierd phase. To tell you the truth I don't think my hairloss will ever exceed a norwood class 4. Based on that I'm seriously considering just stopping the drug and get another HT in the future if I need to. My HT experience was great and doesn't remotely compare to any of the complications I've had with this drug. I personally don't trust the drug industry as a whole and hate to be putting anything in my body that I don't need to. Perhaps my vanity has caused me to sway from what I believe. Anyways...I realize my experience is just that and yours may be completely different. So go ahead and try it and if you don't like it you can always stop.
  22. I hate the stuff. It has made me severely depressed when taking it daily. I have started taking it every other day a couple of weeks ago. I feel a little better but definately not like I did pre-propecia. I might stop taking it altogether if I don't improve shortly.
  23. OK I'm 5 months into my HT and I keep reading that I'm no way near my final result. What does this mean? Does this mean my existing HT hairs will get thicker and thus look fuller? Or does it mean I will have a lot of new hairs start to grow that are not here yet? Or does it mean both? Thanks!
