  1. Hello everyone, Tomorrow is another milestone in the hair restoration adventure... removal of staples! I'm very happy to get these out and move onward with the process, but also a little apprehensive over getting these yanked out by a clumsy brother!? Since i will be doing this without the assistance of a DR, I was hoping some of you veterans could share some helpful tips for all of us newbs.
  2. thank you everyone for all the kind words and encouragement. i wouldnt/couldnt have taken this huge step in life without your contributions to this site. i am so happy i went through with the procedure (even currently with these staples in my dome) and so very excited to see the final results! this place is such an incredible support base. :-)
  3. anuther bruther in wong! i cant believe your 1 day post-op pics... looks like most peoples 10 day or 1 month!? thats some awesome healing power. im siked to see your progress kg, especially since your 2 months "older." ;-) ps. great call on my FU count before i even headed to the procedure. nice!
  4. brothers in wong unite! your pics have been a great resource for me hairbank, especially seeing we're so close in procedure dates... i guess that makes you my big brother. ;-) thank you for sharing! the coverage you received is amazing, but it seems all the work at H&W never ceases to impress. i really look forward to seeing your progress. im 3 days post op now, so still in the "tippy-toe" ultra careful stage of development. have some swelling, head feels pretty big actually... "like an orange on a tooth-pick" but all-in-all fine. i sure look forward to being at 1 week (like your pics)!
  5. hello again everyone! its great to hear your comments and encouragement! this has been one of the biggest (if not THEE biggest) decisions of my life and your shared knowledge, experiences and wealth of information has helped push me over the edge... to grab that nagging, despairing problem (hair loss) by the nose and kick it in the rear! again, thank you all! post-op pics up. so the original plan was for 3000-3500 fu's... the final tally was somewhere in the 4900's... wow!? there was enough extra to fill in all thinning areas, i am absolutely amazed and thoroughly excited... especially to see the final results! i am trying to find the words to describe my experience with hason and wong without sounding like a cheesy info-mmercial. across the board, every aspect of the process was very positive and comforting. from soothing my nerves (without drugs) to working out the details, i cant help but feel i made the right decision in H&W.
  6. thank you all for your comments/suggestions! im off to catch a plane to vancouver!
  7. This week, the procedure is scheduled with Dr Wong for 3500 fu's! so heres where i stand as of 3/26/06. i'll have the post-op pics by this weekend! any comments are greatly appreciated.
  8. thanks for the added encouragement dolphin and hairbank! its such a luxury to have a recent patient share his experience. ive read/seen so many good things of hasson & wong, it really seems a no brainer to go there. the procedure is in 1 week and the anticipation is really kicking in. i am a bit anxious to go "under the knife" but as you all can imagine (and probobly have felt), im so tired of the burdon... as 'what else' stated perfectly in her post. i feel your pain what else. time to eliminate this stress and start enjoying life! best of luck on your procedure, i look forward to keeping you all posted.
  9. after some careful deliberation i have come to the conclusion that i am (finally) going to do something about my hairloss. i just started taking propecia and also, have scheduled an appointment with hasson & wong. the procedure will be in a couple of weeks. although i have never posted here before, i have read through the forum extensively and have gained a great deal of information and encouragement from all of your posts. thank you all for the time and effort you have spent bringing solutions to others for this grievous problem. i look forward to sharing my progress with you all and hopefully in turn, help others in need. cheers to all!
