  1. that's awesome to hear Bill.

as i have taken some time off from posting for a while i've still checked in every once in a while. that's specifically due to the support i can feel from reading other posts here. now i can unfortunately say that my hair loss genetics are too powerful for the meds or gaine to ever stop. on top of that, my pattern will end so bare that an ht just seems unfeasable (unless it was a light FUE to by me some time). however, if it weren't for the forum i'm positive it would be way worse (at 25) than it is now, and i would be dealing with it much harder.

hair loss effects many many people... i'd be willing to bet there are people in our own families who were are helping and we don't even know it!

  2. never seen it before in my scouring the internet for hope on this subject... BUT! who knows, maybe its the "out of left field" company who just shows up and saves the day.... says they're doing HUMAN trials in europe... so that's good

  3. i feel what you mean... he's saying JUST in the shower he's losing that much, which begs the painful "how much am i losing during the rest of the day?" question... i lose about 15 during the shower. sometimes its lower, sometimes more... depends if i think i'm shedding or what not. i've been effing with my regiment lately so i think that's effecting how i shed right now...

Bill is definitely correct on the 50 - 100 for people NOT suffering like us. how much gel do you use? is it enough that it would be keeping the hair around until the shower? i don't use but hardly any paste so the wind is most likely sweeping my hair away when i walk around, resulting in lower numbers in the shower.

    good luck

  4. yeah i would think this change in CEO's by follica is bigger news than we're making it out to be... especially while retaining the former

i would think that meant they realized they needed someone with more experience to come in and really "take the reigns" for the (hopeful) "big push" to market

hopefully may 2009 will go down as a really important month for hair loss...

follica to get mine back, this new gene identification to help my future sons prevent it

  5. here's hoping.... i find the parts about hiring a guy who makes people believe follica is getting ready for a transition to marketing a product combined with the end of (or soon to be ended) trial a good sign.... feller oughta get crackin on his prp eh? ..... eh?

this aint a scene it's a God damned hair race!

  6. doctor

    then

    pharmacy

if you're in the US.... i think i remember seeing you're not

still... try the doc route for the prop

    i used canadamedicineshop.com for the 2% nizoral

since in the states its RX only... but the 1% is OTC so i didn't have to internet that.

  7. ummmm do you have baldness in your family? because if you don't you'll be wasting your time on the rogaine and propecia and so on....

if you do then yes, taking them and then just up and stopping will cause you to lose whatever they were helping you keep...

if you're only losing your hair cause you pull it out, then quit pulling it out. i'm a HEAVY perpetrator of that, so i understand that's waaaaay easier said then done, if anything i just trained myself to yank hair out of other places then the top of my head

if you don't have MPB then taking the meds to treat it won't do anything except take your money you could be spending on the more finer pleasures in life such as sorority girls' vodka (which at 19 is a tricky but awesome way to spend money...)

here's hoping you're not like me and realized way too late that you're pulling hair is ill advised... i have two spots near my crown that are more than a LITTLE more vacant than they should be
