  1. and the neutralization of a black hole has commenced looks good. good luck and all the best!
  2. SERIOUS once ssaid: "MPB is unpredictable. You could end up like your father... or maybe like your grand-grand-grand-grand-grand father that looked like a bowling ball and that you never saw because photographic devices didn't exist. Since you're not satisfied with your hairline as it is now at 21, I would monitor your MPB progression very closely. Yes I would go to a dermatologist and get a second and a third opinion from other derms / docs if you realize the guy doesn't know much about MPB specifically. Nowadays with the internet and access to information, ordinary folks are sometimes more aware about some health matters than some docs that got a diploma 25 years ago. As for treatments, let's keep in mind that we're the first generation in history to have access to treatments that actually work at slowing (even stopping) MPB for a majority of people. In that sense, we're very lucky. The most important factor with meds is consistency. Just take it or apply it once a day, it becomes an easy routine like brushing your teeth. You could consider finasteride every other day for a start. Minoxidil, even at the temple, can help a great deal also. But I would suggest to continue your research to make a wise decision. Good luck" and yes Rogaine does work for hairline as well. BTW did he/she prescribed you 5% one? if not i suggest that you go back and ask specifically for 5% prescription. if you notice however that minox 5% is doing nothing to help after a year or so than it's time for you to consider Finesteride (notice how i didn't say Propecia specifically). but don't drop minox, keep using it together with fin if push comes to shove down the road.
  3. and this post is strictly for the "Karma" boost
  4. i think i wont be able to go to sleep tonight as all this suspense is killing me right now but while i'm at it - i always thought that this forum has one category too many. why not get rid of Q+A and couple that up with Open Hair Loss section. now don't get mad now, it's just an idea. and also add few more "smilies" as you can see that i'm going wild with 'em and just can't get enough of 'em
  5. LOL but i still feel like a winner still - if you know what i mean Scorpian, thanks for the 411 that's a reasonable amount of grafts for the area being worked on considering it was Armani's clinic. did Armani himself do the slits and hairline design or was it his sister? please don't make me try and guess this one too cheers!
  6. atta boy but pics are little blurry especially the after one. things should start taking off from now on but you just need to be patient. glad you are happy with your situ so far and grow well and all the best. P.S. using minox as a styling product -well you are the first one utilizing it as far as i know my hair looks like shit while i have that liquid in it and i can't wait to wash my hair just to get my 'volume' back
  7. i would disagree with this and say that it's completely the opposite. HTs are so "out in your face" procedures nowadays and i'm pretty sure that pretty much everyone knows about them or at least heard of them one way or the other, except select few that still live under the rock. i would also guess that most people got general idea as in what is involved in HT process, what is cut, and where the hair comes from. just yesterday i was riding a bus and saw a huge overhead ad across from where i was sitting from one of the local HT surgeons here where i live. i mean it's not like transplants are still some underground procedure and only select few millionaires know about them. i also think if a real head trauma patient would of shaved his head and expose his scars (assuming that his injury was at the back of his head), i think he would have hard time selling it to others that they are scars from a major surgery made by real surgeons while they were reconstructing his skull. but hey if it makes you feel better to think that way, then all the power to you. and you know what they say - ignorance is bliss.
  8. i just finished checking Dr. Robert Jones's PRP blog and i can definitely see that his hair is much thicker in his one month update. click on the picture titled PRP update July 2nd, 2009 and see for yourself. PRP Dr. R.J. i see definite improvement, though few more of his comparison shots would be nice to see. so all the evidence shows that there is something to this "PRP's short time hair boost" thing, unless it's all "pictorial illusion" and we all know how pics sometimes don't tell the whole story. but nonetheless i see/hear improvements coming from many sources. P.S. i know that Dr. Feller would not call Dr. Jones to be typical candidate for this treatment as he would be considered "too advanced balding dude" but this pic could prove that theory wrong. please see it for yourself: PRP Dr. R.J.
  9. good luck with upcoming months LL. Dewayne was also one of the slow growers coming out of Cooley's camp. happy growing and i'm looking forward to your 1 yr. and beyond update.
  10. i agree with many here that it sounds very strange and bizarre. after all my research here and there i never heard of anyone complaining about their donor pain right after FUE procedure let alone 2 weeks post-op. i thought that that stuff applies only to strip patients anyways i hope and wish that you get better soon sunchaser!
  11. everything looks good and normal so far Scorpian. i checked your old posts hoping that i'll find who did your surgery. i found nothing. but i assume by your hairline design that it was Armani. i also assume that you had it done in Dubai having read some of your posts where you referenced it. please correct me if i'm wrong with my assumption, but that would be really hard since i'm never wrong or at least it's a rarity that a brilliant guy like myself gets 'things' wrong and let me complete my hatrick (sorry for stealing again Thana ) and guess that you had ~3500 FUE grafts also. happy growing and god speed!
  12. hmmm i can't say that i have seen it but perhaps i just wasn't looking hard enough. besides there are very few ppl in here that are willing to post their pics past 18 months let alone 2 years. but it's def something that i'll keep in mind from now on while checking other ppls results. so is it fair to say and conclude that PGP has thick coarse hair??? also HairHope who did you go to for your second FUE HT???
  13. very good post mmhce! Dr. Phil could not say it better Joe, go with synthetic and forget herbal! to be more specific go with minoxidil 5% 2x daily and finesteride 1mg daily or EOD if you experience some kind of side effect. that cloud nine or whatever is called is nothing but saw palmetto wrapped up in a new shiny armor and i bet that you can buy saw palmetto + vitamin B complex (key cloud's ingredients) for a fraction of price of that cloud nine BS. after you settle with those meds then it's time for you to come up with some dough and get a HT if you want to be able to score with some hot chick
  14. Bobman, good luck with your book and your new 2nd job! what will be your book's title and what is it about? also it's been a while since you updated your weblog. perhaps with the new haircut now it's the perfect time for a quick update eh. all the best!
  15. no need for scalp exercises if going FUE. as the matter effect it's the opposite with FUE. the tighter the scalp the better. they say mushy/loose scalp is a no-go for FUE. that's how i understood things, but if i'm wrong feel free to correct me.
  16. better than nothing! go for it. also i guess you were using original brand that is 2% correct? also what country is that if you don't mind sharing?
  17. thanks to everyone that chimed in! so i guess it works everywhere else but the back of the head i guess the consensus is to scratch it off the list? going once! going twice! sold....? now those are the proof pics that i'm asking for j/k hairthere i couldn't resist
  18. ebutterg, please show some pictures or at least one comparison shot side by side. if you are worried about being recognized then just black out your whole face, as all we are interested in are your top of the head shots. i hope it's not too much to ask. after all i am your fellow Canadian cheers!
  19. that's good to know PGP. but is that typical or only for some and few?? i notice the new avatar. are you trying to piss Eman and B spot off or what? as you might know "the ship is sinking" in my part of the town, plus all the talk of letting Halladay go....so hence the avatar change.
  20. i hope that they put some pictures up for our viewing pleasure after the phase 3 is over. i also hope that this isn't just a rip-off of ACELL either. we shell wait and see... good find btw swim! but why this in support section?
  21. buffalo soldier, definitely Feller and definitely FUE and thank me later spex, wow thanks for all that!!! and i only wish if B spot could follow in your foot steps regarding his FUE collection (to some degree of course).
  22. looking better and better each month Abe! my guess is you are only at ~40% growth. HairHope, did you go with Umar as well?
