Dont do it, man! If you go cheap, you get cheap. Why risk god aweful results, bad instrumentation with potential for scarring, infection and the need for repair work in the future to save a few bucks...this will be much more expensive in the longrun. Dont do it, man!

Depression is a nasty thing...it affects your work/productivity, personal life, and most importantly affects those around you.

Write down a set of goals for yourself. Lets say 1 year from now you want to have a ht...

First email/phone/visit (if possible)quality docs that can do your corrective ht. Alot of docs will work with you on price...tell them your story and let them know that you will be saving monthly to get your ht. Next, tighten the buckle a little...less eating out, more brown-bagging for lunch, no cable/satellite, no designer clothes. Go to public places like the park/beach instead of the amusement park or the movies. Have a garage sale or get on ebay and sell stuff that is in the closet/garage. Pick up a second job.

Inner peace and happiness for you and your family is too important to pass up...you cannot put a pricetag on this. Living your life thinking..."what if?" is a sure way to become bitter, depressed and resentful of those around you.

90 tabs of Merck brand Proscar (finasteride 5mg) for $210. Merck is the same company that makes Propecia (finasteride 1mg).

Many guys cut these 5mg tabs it into 1/4 pieces and take 1/4 tab per day (1.25mg). Dont pre-cut your tablets until you intend to use them, as they may lose their potency if left in split form for too many days.

If you do 1/4 tab/day, 1.75 tabs/wk, 90 tabs will last you about 51 weeks (Cost will be $4.11/week or $16.47/month for the quality stuff from a reputable company. No sleepless nights worrrying about whether the stuff is legit.

I recommend asking your doc for a prescription for 2 weeks worth (14 tablets, should be about $20). In Merck's study about 3% of men had sexual side effects, but if in 14 days you dont have any, then you are good to go

Make sure to keep the area free and clear of debris and dirt (agree with Rug about the bandana). Dont bump, scratch or lift heavy weights and you should be fine. Sweat will keep the area moist and will allow you to shed your scabs sooner.

The concensus seems to be after scabs fall out its ok to use concealers...this usually has occured by 2 weeks. Always consult with the doc who has done your procedure for your particular instructions.

Yes...as the guys mentioned, using the same scar to open and close is standard of care.

The bonus for some guys who have a large scar from their 1st procedure (bad doc, technique, etc) is that apart from the transplant, they get a scar revision too(assuming they go to a skilled doc).

It doesnt take 1 year for the full effect from the Propecia...in fact it starts blocking DHT almost immediately...what takes time is for the growth of the hair based on the cycles (telogen (shedding) and anagen (growth)..sometimes up to 4 months for hair to grow. If you were to get on Propecia a couple of weeks before your procedure those native weak hairs would be stronger by dropping the level of DHT ...it does not guarantee survival after a ht since trauma and the change in blood supply are also big factors.

The one year "rule" does a few things: Lets a guy see the full effect of the propecia on hair growth...a guy may change his mind about ht after starting Propecia. Also it lets people do research, learn about options (strip, FUE), avoid the mills, get finances in order, arrange time off from work. At this time technology and results are improving (mostly referring to FUE) and prices are dropping.

About the Proscar(5mg)/Propecia(1mg) (both Merck pharmaceutical version of generic finasteride)

If you dont want to mess with the quality issue (i.e. buying generic finasteride from other countries, unknown pharmacies, etc) get the Proscar 5mg from Merck. I just looked up www.drugstore.com and they have 90 tabs for $210.

Since finasteride has a long half life, it is acceptable to take 1/2 tablet (2.5mg) three times/week, as long as you dont have side effects from the 2.5mg (usually sexual side effects).

If you do take it as above, you will use 1.5 tabs/wk and 90 tabs will last you 45weeks (Cost will be $4.66/week or $18.66/month for the quality stuff from a reputable company.

I think its also easier to cut a pill into halves than it is to cut into quarter parts.

better to have bad camera and great results than the opposite...looking good my friend.
