  1. I had my HT done with mini and micro 3 months ago. 1800 holes were drilled and filled ! The skin is of course still a slightly pinkish, but that is normal. I dont care however because in a couple of months the hairgrow will cover it up. Many users here are going to tell you FU is the non plus ultra. I am not arguing that the technique might be better than using mini, but the results are comparable. I was in a meeting in Holland a couple of weeks ago. There where people that had mini's done and other that had full FU done. The results where identical to the eye I must say. Mind however that the mini's where 1 2 and some 3 hairs, not 4 or more because that looks like plugs. Wait and see what happens.
  2. Before my HT I had my hair colored every 6 weeks or so. After my HT (3 months ago) I have not done any coloring. Although nobody has advised me against coloring, I will wait another 3 months untill most hairs have come out. My sidehair is almost white, but the donor area is 80% dark and 20 % white. After the HT the white hairs that where transplanted showed up before the dark hairs started comming out. Isnt't that funny ! But now the dark hairs have kicked in as well and give the HT zone a natural mixed look.
  3. I can only speek of my own experience. I had a HT which consisted out of partial laser drilling and partial 'needle' drilling. Being at 3 month past OP I can not see any difference in skin color between the 2 methods. The regrowth in both zones is identical. The only difference is that the laser drilled area is extremely dense. I guess that's why they used the laser only on the hair line to give a natural looking effect afterwards. my 2 cents ...
  4. Nizoral is a great shampoo for dandruff. In fact its is the only products that really helps me to control my dandruff. I have been using it for over 5 years now and I can state that it has not prevented hair loss at all. I know for sure because I had a HT about 10 weeks ago.
  5. Is there a website for this 'new' HT procedure ?
  6. I guess the main reason is that most people don't have a donor area that will produce 3800 FU in one session. How long did this session take ?? In my case it took about 6-7 hours for the entire procedure for 'only' 1800 units. How big was the donor strip that was taken out ??
  7. I update my website with a couple of new pictures. 2 Months past OP. Shedding has ended by new and new hairs are growing. Nothing spectacular yet, but progress is being made !
  8. I am 2 months past surgery and I still have a numb spot on the back of my head. I was told that getting back the normal feeling could last from 1 month to 2 years. Some people get back the normal feeling after a few weeks, other take much longer.
  9. Hi, as stated somewhere else on this board I am happy to report that regrow has set in after 6 weeks. I wonder if age is a factor is faster recovery/regrowt. I am 33 now and this was my first HT. Although I am happy with the way the procedure went I might wait another 5 years of so for my crown, which is not completely bald yet. I hope that by that time hair cloning will be available and affordeble. From looking at the advances that are being made in labs I think about 5 years should be a reasonable time frame.
  10. Although Belgium and Holland are very small countries and we speak almost the same languague. Dutch is more or less the same as Flemish. Never heard of Flemish ? In the USA most people think French is the leading language in Belgium. It is not ! The majority here speaks Flemish. Maastricht is in Holland, not Belgium. My 2 cents ...
  11. And hair are popping up all over. At first I could not see them very well, but now its clear that those are regrows. FYI no post OP medication at all.
  12. Hi, I got my HT on june 13 th. Snce then I keep away from the sun. Here in Belgium that is easy do to because so far the summer hasn't produced a lot of sunny days. I noticed however that even after 6 weeks after OP my scalp is still very sensitive to the sunlight. Today the weather is great and we going to have a BBQ. I will be wearing a cap for sure, I dont want to take risks. I am planning to avoid direct sunlight until the regrows can provide naturale cover again. As for regrows they have already kicked in since a couple of days now. I guess after reading many postings here I consider myself lucky having regrows after not even 2 months.
  13. Hi gee, I am glad you have found this site. Being myself a costumer of Laser Aesthetic I can only agree to your comments. I can not even imagine how to get such a dense line of implants without the "laser drill". Surely, used by incompentent hands, laser could do more damage than good. However that is true for every method used in HT. Bart.
  14. Here are some pics of myself after my june 13 HT session. I had some major swelling up to 6 days afterwards. Pics of swelling look terrible, but there was absolutely no pain, just discomfort. mypics

  16. I had my HT done on june 13th. At first I thought I would be the lucky one not to shed the transplanted hairs because after 4 weeks almost nothing had shedding. I spoke too early as soon after the 4th week hairs started dropping ! Today, 6 weeks after HT about 80% has gone. To David : where in Germany did you have your HT done and by whom ?
